While information for Lafayette employees is well documented and readily available, it may not always be at your fingertips. We have created this employee guide of where and how to quickly and easily find information about the topics employees most frequently ask. We encourage you to begin your search for information via this guide and the corresponding links to more detailed information.

BENEFITS INFORMATION

The Human Resources website contains a section dedicated to employee benefits that includes all benefit programs and resources available to employees and how they are administered, including:

PERSONAL INFORMATION

  • The address change form is available online for active employees who need to update their home and/or campus address. This form will not update your Lafayette College retirement fund(s), which needs to be updated separately by calling your respective plan at Fidelity 800-343-0860 and/or TIAA 1-800-842-2252. All other benefit plans will receive your updated address.
  • Banner Self-Service allows employees to view their personal information, payroll deductions, pay stubs, benefits, W-2 forms, and current W-4 form information.
  • Verifications of employment should be sent to hr@lafayette.edu. Employment verifications are not taken over the phone and must include a signed release for verification of more than general dates of employment.

VACATION & PERSONAL TIME

  • Vacation, personal and sick day balances for hourly employees can be found in Banner Self-Service. Vacation for salaried employees is also tracked.
  • Vacation hours are earned throughout the fiscal year (July 1 through June 30) and added in equal increments to your vacation bank each pay period.
  • Vacation time earned each year depends on the employee’s status and length of service. Refer to the Vacation section of the staff handbook for complete details.

WORKER’S COMPENSATION

  • If you sustain a job injury or a work-related illness, the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Act provides for your medical expenses and applicable wage-loss compensation benefits. Employees who have experienced a work-related injury must report it to their supervisor by the end of their shift. Failure to notify your supervisor or Human Resources could result in delay or denial of benefits.
  • Contact Public Safety’s Environmental, Health and Safety Division at (610) 330-5330 if you need assistance in completing the Supervisor’s Accident Investigation Report.
  • For more information, refer to the staff handbook.

REPORTING COMPLAINTS AND MISCONDUCT

  • Any employee who believes they have been treated in a way that is inconsistent with Lafayette College’s Equal Employment Opportunity policy may register a complaint.  Full details can be found on our website regarding Equal Opportunity, Harassment and Non-Discrimination.
  • Ethical, compliance or other misconduct by any College employee should be reported to the College’s toll-free. 24-hour Anonymous Tip Hotline at 1-800-539-6085.
