Starting Mon., June 8, the College will shift to summer hours. During this period, administrative offices and academic departments will operate from 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
In addition, we’re pleased to share that the College will continue offering Early Fridays. Beginning Fri., June 12, offices will close at 2 p.m. each Friday throughout the summer (with the exception of previously scheduled College holidays). We hope this earlier end to the week gives you a well-deserved early start to your weekend and a little extra time to relax and recharge.
Employees who are able to participate in the Early Fridays will receive their full pay for the day without needing to make up the hours. Additional information is available explaining how hourly employees should record Early Friday time in Banner.
We understand not everyone’s schedule allows for full participation in summer hours and Early Fridays. As in past years, we encourage supervisors to explore alternative ways to offer flexible summer schedules where possible. Summer hours and Early Fridays will conclude Fri., Aug. 7, with normal hours resuming Mon., Aug. 10.
To support ongoing planning and continuous improvement, Human Resources will be organizing employee focus groups in the summer to gather feedback on summer hours and Early Fridays. Input from these sessions will help inform a proposal for potential enhancements for future summer scheduling.
