Responsibilities:

• Primary contact for all incoming telephone calls and voicemails
• Assess the question/problem and determine the appropriate director contact
• Determine student and/or parent need and assist with the maintenance of office calendars.
• Monitor the Financial Aid Office email account and respond appropriately
• Assist with the coordination of department workflow.
• Demonstrates strong customer service behaviors

• Answer/discuss questions about individual financial aid student requirements, award information, and financial aid policies
• Hire, train, schedule, and supervise FWS student assistants daily

• Responsible for purchases, payment of invoices, and purchase orders/requisitions of outside contractors
• Handle and distribute incoming mail/faxes

• Prepare the agenda for weekly/biweekly meetings
• Responsible for note-taking and preparation of completed minutes of weekly/biweekly staff meetings
• Primary coordinator for the review, evaluation, and preparation of each student’s financial aid application associated with the incoming freshman class and all upper-class applications

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Prior related work experience
• Associate degree, certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficiency at the basic/intermediate level for Microsoft Office
• Experience meeting deadlines
• Research capabilities
• Knowledge of databases
• Experience working independently
• Experience performing routine online research
• Knowledge of basic office procedures
• Experience working with budgets
• Regularly demonstrates ability to learn and use new computer and web-based applications and products essential to department functions (e.g., Microsoft Office, FAMIS, Maxient, Qualtrics, Career Vault, Google Suite, Emburse, Banner, electronic data records, etc.)
