Lafayette College Libraries seeks a librarian to join its Research & Instructional Services Department. Following a non-liaison-based approach adopted in the late 1990s, research and instruction librarians at Lafayette partner with faculty on course (re)design, syllabus construction, assignment development, pedagogical innovations, and in-class teaching. The successful candidate will work with classes of all levels, including first-year seminars; provide in- person and virtual research assistance; support instruction-related outreach efforts; and participate in the Libraries’ ongoing conversation about the information literacy program.

The Library is the recipient of the 2014 ACRL Excellence in Academic Libraries Award, which recognized the Libraries’ pioneering work in acquisition, digital scholarship, and information literacy. It strongly encourages and generously supports professional development, including covering membership fees and conference registrations and travels.
