Resources listed are for families seeking care and support during the year for infants through 5th grade. Note: this list is not inclusive of all caregiving programs.
The Lafayette College Early Learning Center offers quality, nurturing child care and an age-appropriate learning environment for children from 6 weeks old through age 5. The center offers infant, toddler, preschool, and kindergarten prep programs.
Caregiving Spaces is a site available to Lafayette faculty and staff to seek out, share, and connect about child, adult, and pet caregiving and personal well-being, similar to an online community bulletin board. Caregiving Spaces can also be accessed through my.lafayette.edu by entering your College user name and password, selecting “Spaces” and then “Caregiving” which will bring you to the Caregiving Spaces site.
School age child care provides options to meet a family's need for before/during/after school programs for school-age children.
To protect students and staff during the COVID-19 pandemic, several local school districts have decided to pursue fully virtual or hybrid scheduling. In order to support working families, the YMCA has partnered with Lehigh Valley Children's Centers and several other local childcare organizations to present the Edu-Childcare Program.
NCC Children's Centers are located on the college's Bethlehem and Monroe campuses and accept children 6 weeks to kindergarten entry. Both centers are staffed by qualified teachers employed by the college. The centers offer full and part time care and education on a semester or full year basis to children of NCC students, staff and the community.
