Key Dates and Actions

  • ENROLLMENT DEADLINE is Nov. 21: You must submit your benefit elections through the online system by the end of the day on Fri., Nov. 21.
  • If you would like personal assistance using the Online Enrollment Portal, reserve a time with an HR benefits representative.  

Open Enrollment Benefit Details

  • Printed versions of the 2026 Open Enrollment Guide will be available at the Open Enrollment Fair. Supervisors can request additional brochures to be delivered to their department.
  • Visit the Open Enrollment website at https://hr.lafayette.edu/open-enrollment/ for all details related to your benefits for 2026, including helpful videos and decision tools to help you choose the right plans.

Open Enrollment Fair & Info. Sessions

  • Attend the Open Enrollment Fair from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 12 in the Marlo Room of the Farinon College Center.
  • Attend a live information session at 11 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. during the Open Enrollment Fair. 
  • Watch an on-demand recorded information session at your convenience on the Open Enrollment website.   

Core Benefit Plans

  1. Medical Insurance
    • Capital Blue Cross will continue as the medical insurance carrier for 2026.
    • The same three medical plans will be offered. 
    • Plan Designs: There will be some plan design changes to the Standard PPO and Low Deductible PPO plans. No plan design changes will be made to the Qualified High Deductible PPO with the HSA plan. 
      • In the prior four years, there have been no plan design changes to any plans, but changes this year were necessary to minimize the cost impact on our employees. See the 2026 Open Enrollment Guide for more details.
    • ID Cards: Employees will not receive a new medical/prescription ID card from Capital Blue Cross if they are enrolled in 2025.
  2. HSA / FSA: If you elected to contribute to an HSA or FSA in 2025, this contribution WILL NOT continue for the 2026 plan year unless you actively select a new contribution election for 2026 using the open enrollment online system.
  3. Dental Coverage 
    • Delta Dental will continue as the dental provider for 2026, with no plan design changes.
    • ID Cards: Delta Dental does not issue ID cards, and an ID card is not required when you receive dental services. However, you can print an ID card from the Delta Dental website if you prefer to have something in hand.
  4. Vision Coverage 
    • The College will offer an enhanced, more comprehensive vision plan in 2026. You must actively enroll in the new vision coverage for 2026.
    • NVA will continue as the vision provider for 2026.
    • ID Cards: Participants will receive new ID cards from NVA.
