Lafayette College Recreation Services is looking for a top rope instructor to work at our indoor climbing wall two days a week during the academic year only. The total need is three hours per day within the time range of 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
The employee is responsible for teaching belay classes, maintaining rope logs, training student staff, curating a safe climbing experience, coaching climbers (consisting predominately of students), and providing a welcoming environment for everyone.
Requirements
The applicant must be CWI Level 1 certified with dozen of top rope climbs and demonstrated ability to climb 5.8. Must be willing and capable of passing CWI Level 2 certifcation and CPR/AED & First Aid course (both at no cost to the employee).
Compensation
Access to our entire recreational facility which includes the swimming pool. Wage is $24-26 per hour to comensurate with experience and credentials
