The Equipment Services Assistant will assist with areas and duties as assigned by the Director of Equipment Services. This position works closely with the Athletic Business Office, Event Operations, and sport programs to ensure that timely and accurate servicing, ordering, tracking, issuance, and inventory of equipment and apparel takes place across all Lafayette College varsity sport programs.
Primary Responsibilities:
● Completion of daily laundry.
● Field set-up/breakdown for practices and games.
● Maintaining a proper inventory and organization of athletic equipment.
● Learning how to properly fit athletic equipment.
● Daily maintenance and sanitation of protective equipment.
● Submitting orders for athletic apparel and equipment.
● Hosting visiting teams as needed.
● Assisting with team travel arrangements as needed.
● Facilitating the use of Headset Communication Systems for home and away contests.
● Creation of maintenance plans for equipment.
● Meeting with vendors to discuss new products/maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required. Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Preferred experience as a student equipment manager or equipment manager with football. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Working toward AEMA Certification by the end of a 10-month appointment. Efficient with Microsoft & Google suites.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to cultivate professional relationships with students-athletes and staff and be passionate about the
student-athlete experience. Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Excellent verbal/written communication skills. Computer/Technological skills, able to work with a diverse group of people with various backgrounds, education levels, and cultural differences. Must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays.
Compensation & Application:
