Lafayette College seeks a part-time staff member to fulfill an important role at the Lafayette Inn. The staff member is responsible for establishing and maintaining the highest level of hospitality and welcoming service to potential and current guests. The team member will perform customer service duties in a friendly and professional manner at all times, and ensure that the guests have an enjoyable experience.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to answering the Inn’s phone, responding timely and professionally to the Inn’s email, listening and providing assistance to the guests needs, booking and confirming room reservations, checking guests in and out of the Inn, assisting with daily laundry and maintaining the breakfast area. The team member will work closely with other Lafayette Inn Staff to ensure a quality experience for all guests and may be asked to assist in other areas as needed.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Lafayette Inn staff should have very good interpersonal skills that include practicing the utmost discretion and confidentiality, being able to work collaboratively with other College staff, being pleasant and accommodating to guests, and being responsive to the needs of the Inn guests.
QUALIFICATIONS: Previous customer service/hospitality experience is preferred. This is a part-time weekend position of approximately 2-3 days per week for 8-12 hours a day. The total hours are expected to be around 20-25 hours per week. This is a seasonal position and applicants should expect to have periods of time off when Lafayette College is not in session. Applicants must be able to work between the hours 7am and 7pm and have both Saturday and Sunday availability.
