Each fall, the Office of Human Resources provides notification to faculty and staff regarding Lafayette College’s Tuition Programs. In order to qualify for any of the tuition programs offered below, the parent / guardian must be a full-time and continuing employee on the payroll of the College:

  • Tuition Remission is available to qualified dependents of faculty and staff who have at least five years of continuous full-time service with the College and provides full tuition support for students who attend Lafayette College.
  • Tuition Exchange is also available to qualified dependents of faculty and staff who have at least five years of continuous full-time service with the College and provides the possibility of tuition support at more than 600 participating institutions (www.tuitionexchange.org/).
  • Tuition Grants are available to qualified dependents of faculty and staff with at least 10 years of continuous full-time service at the College and provide tuition support at accredited colleges or universities in amounts up to 50% of the current amount of Lafayette College’s tuition.

If you are considering applying for Tuition Remission, Tuition Exchange, or Tuition Grant support for the 2023-24 academic year, please complete the Full-Time Tuition Program Application found on the Human Resources “Forms and Resources page” as soon as possible.  In addition, please also note that eligible employees must submit an application for each qualified dependent / student being considered for the tuition program.  One your application has been approved, you do not need to submit an application for each year of attendance.  Eligibility rules and additional information on all of the College’s tuition programs may be found on the HR website under “Tuition Program Benefit.”

Part-Time Faculty and Staff, Visiting Faculty, Interns, and their children are not eligible for tuition benefits.

Please contact Karen in the office of Human Resources at yaskanik@lafayette.edu or 610-330-3388 if you have any questions, need to confirm that Human Resources has the required applications for each of your dependents being considered for a tuition program, or would like to verify your eligibility for these programs.

If you supervise employees who do not have routine access to email, please print out and post a copy of this email where they will easily see it. Thank you.
