The Department of Psychology at Lafayette College invites applications for the position of Laboratory Coordinator. This is an ongoing, full time, non-tenure track position that begins on July 1, 2020. Applicants should have a master’s degree or higher in Psychology or a related field, a deep commitment to undergraduate education, a desire to teach and work with students, a commitment to teach the scientific method as applied to psychological science, and strong organization, collaboration, and management skills. Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred. In collaboration with the faculty of the Psychology Department, the Lab Coordinator is responsible for: developing the curriculum of the laboratory portion of Introduction to Psychological Science (Psyc 110); coordinating administration of all Psyc 110 Lab sections; teaching four Psyc 110 Lab sections each semester; hiring and supervising undergraduate laboratory assistants for all lab sections; conducting weekly training sessions for the undergraduate laboratory assistants; coordinating with other lab instructors and with instructors of the lecture sections; and other related duties.
