Lafayette Forensics Society is a co-curricular and competitive speech and debate team at Lafayette College that travels a nationally competitive tournament schedule from October through April.

Responsibilities: The coach would primarily work with students on a variety of individual events and would be expected to hold five to ten hours worth of appointments (open to negotiation) a week with students. The appointments would require additional preparation outside of the appointment times with the students.

Reporting Structure and Details: The coach would report directly to the Director of Forensics Activities. This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling (day or evening).

Qualifications must include at a minimum:

  1. A college degree;
  2. High school or college forensics individual events experience, either as a student or coach;
  3. A passion for public speaking.

Preferred qualifications include:

  1. The ability to travel to tournaments with the team;
  2. A willingness to commit to learning new events.
